Is your Lead Generating activities working?

Just getting back from the Keller Williams Family Reunion and my head is spinning with all the exciting things coming to our offices and teams, 2017 is going to be a great year!

With that in mind I think it is always important to do a little refresh as we look at how to generate new business in this new year.  Our research and experience has taught us that for every fifty people you market yourself to, twelve times a year you can reasonably expect to generate a real estate sale..

So.. in your business is this happening?  If the answer is no, it is time to take a look at yourself and your business and find out why it is not happening?  Here are 3 questions to ask yourself.

1.  What is the one thing holding you back?

2.  What is one thing that needs to be removed from your focus?

3.  What is one thing that you need to do?

When I asked this question in our recent sales meeting at our Keller Williams office in Mission Viejo, I think you can guess what some of the answers were:  Me, Fear, Doubts and Actions.. All true to everyone at one point or another.  Even those who are successful in the field of real estate tackle these questions.. however those that succeed go a bit deeper and ask.

1.  How can I fix what is holding me back?

2.  How am I going to change my behavior to ensure I stay focused?

3.  What actions am I going to take?

As we see with most successful people they then implement a systematic approach to achieving their goals.

The 50:1 ratio is only a benchmark that helps you determine if your systems are working.  The above questions should help you focus on what needs to be changed in order for it to work, systematically!

In real estate, we generally have two issues that arise when we look at why this ratio is not working for agents.

Either there a lead generating issue or a lead conversion issue.  Once agents determine what the issue is, getting help from a mentor, team lead, etc. can help you stay on track to meeting your goals.
